Crabbing to myself earlier about all the time I spend preparing…preparing for work, preparing to write, preparing to get my bookstore ready, and the endless preparation that is motherhood: the cooking, the cleaning, the listening, the helping them prepare for life in this world. I have been trying to ‘live in the moment’ but I’ve been struggling with this…so much of me is focused on *what comes next*

next month
next week
tomorrow
It occurred to me that the stage of my life’s play is happening in each moment. The practice, the rehearsal, the building of the set is all part of the play. Right now, I am on stage.
