I’m participating in Utata Storytellers! This is a neat project of fiction, non-fiction, and adaptations based on photographs. From the site:

Utata Storytellers is the BIG PROJECT for 2009. Past BIG PROJECTS include Utata Speaks ’06, The Utatan and Utata Speaks ’08. The Utata Storytellers project is your chance to tell a story, spin a yarn, describe a narrative using photographs as the main presentation material. For the purposes of the project, let’s define narrative as: presentation of a series of events in a purposeful sequence to tell a story, either fictional or factual.

I’m so excited because I’ve been a member of Utata for a while and missed the other projects due to my work load. Almost missed this one but there is an extension to participate. The deadline is Monday, September 14th 2009. To participate you must have a flickr account and be a member of Utata. Full info on participation is here.

365 Year 2? Nah

Well, I was all gung-ho to do another 365 set but really just don’t have an interest in it anymore. I will take pics of myself every now and then, but not nearly every day. I’m finding it hard to find the the time to take a simple quick shot every day…definitely no time to do the artistic challenging stuff I’d like to do. So, this is my last 365 shot…I lasted 7 days LOL!

My Final 365 Days Shot

365 Day 365 End May 25th 2009

The final shot of my 365 set. This has been a tumultuous year for me…I opened a small used bookstore, my daughter moved away from home, I was sexually harassed at work, bought a new car, and also had a tiny nervous breakdown.

I decided to do another 365! I didn’t challenge myself artistically much but it did help me with my shyness; just getting comfortable in front of the camera again. I wasn’t very honest in many pics; lots of times some heavy stuff was going on in my life and I put on a smile anyway. This next 365 set I will challenge myself to present all my pure emotions, good and bad. more thoughts soon!

I have a mild heart condition (I know I know no heart condition is ever ‘mild’ but I have survived having 3 children, plus I am still here and surviving sans medication so it’s mild to me!) and have been having tingling and numbness in my feet. This is recurring so I wasn’t worried about it, just called the doc to make sure I don’t have to come in. Just need to wear compression socks. But this is national DVT (deep vein thrombosis) week and I’ve been hearing about this condition on the news and such, so of course in back of my mind was worry I had a blood clot or something equally morbidly scary. eeeeeeegads! I’m so impressionable LOL

365 Day 193: Infection & Hat December 8th 2008

I went to the doctor today, found out that my long-running cold (going into it’s 3rd week now) turned out to be a low-grade inner ear infection. I I felt better after coming home and trying on my cool winter hat buttafly custom made for me, I love this hat! then was so worn out I slept the rest of the afternoon/early evening. Then got up and went to T-bop’s holiday concert. It was grand. Then got my prescription filled, and played around with my hat some more ^_^

Tenuous

365 Day 192: Tenuous December 7th 2008

I can’t shake this cold, and I’m so rarely sick like this…coughing and hacking and losing my voice and so forth. It’s not so bad, just a bad cold, but it reminds how flimsy life is…currently my soul feels as anchored to my body as a balloon is in the hands of a child. egads.
