Michelle Obama will be the 1st Lady.
In all this talk of Barack Obama as the first black president, I’d like you to consider the historical element in Michelle being the first black 1st lady. In a country where the prevailing images and ideas of black women are still overwhelmingly whore or workhorse, this will trigger a paradigm shift in how black women are viewed.
